Royal Forest and Bird Protection Society Art for Conservation charity auction

On the 4th of October 2007 the Royal Forest and Bird Protection Society of New Zealand held the live Art for Conservation charity auction at Govermant House in Wellington, hosted by their Excellencies the Governor General of New Zealand the Honorable Anand Satyanand and Susan Satyanand.

Proceeds from this auction are going toward Forest and Bird's campaign seeking greater protection for the endangered Hector 's and Maui 's dolphins, and it's campaign for greater protection of the South Island high country's landscape and native species through a network of conservation parks.

Forest and Bird are grateful for the support of dozens of contributing artists who generously donated over 100 paintings, scultures, prints and drawings for this auction.

Spokes Monkey Inc. was one of those artists. Below is Alone in the Storm in which strong graphic imagery, channels the sensual nature of oil paint capturing the tempestuous and sublime power of the Elements prior to a storm.
